This winter, Belfast’s Waterfall Arts offers a series of public conversations between notable artists called “Fireside Chats.” Held in Waterfall’s cozy performance space, these intimate events invite audiences into lively discussions illuminating artists’ creative processes and inspirations.
The series features acclaimed painter Robert Pollien in dialogue with emerging sculptor Claire Seidl, photographer Neal Parent discussing his work with printmaker MJ Blanchette, and innovative multimedia artist Bridget Matros conversing with Waterfall’s executive director, Angela Marquis. Their exchanges promise fresh insights into each artist’s practice.
By gathering talented creators across mediums and generations, the Fireside Chats fuel meaningful dialogues that reveal the context behind creative work. Their engaging discussions conducted in Waterfall’s welcoming atmosphere offer enriching opportunities to connect with some of Maine’s vibrant arts community this winter.
Fireside Chats take place Thursday evenings from January through March at Waterfall Arts in Belfast. Each event includes an exhibition tour and reception.
