This August, the provocative chamber opera “The Ahab Inside Me” comes to the Gaslight Theater in Augusta, Maine. Featuring blues-inspired music and poetic lyrics, this contemporary adaptation of Moby Dick examines obsession and human nature through a musical lens.

Composer JD Scott and librettist Stephanie Fleischmann reimagine Melville’s classic from the perspective of Captain Ahab.
