This May, the Maine Farmland Trust Gallery presents an online exhibition of works created by residents at Fiore Art Center during quarantine. Along with the virtual gallery, MFT is hosting livestream artist talks giving insight into the residents’ creative processes amidst challenging times.
The exhibit features photography, painting, sculpture, and more made by Fiore residents from across disciplines over recent virtual residencies. Their artist discussions via Zoom will shed light on how they sustain inspiration and community while physically apart.
By providing a platform for residents to share their work and stories, MFT aims to foster connections within Maine’s arts community during this period of isolation. People statewide can be transported by the virtual gallery and gain uplifting perspectives from the artist talks.
The online exhibition and livestream events can be accessed through the MFT Gallery website starting May 15th. Don’t miss this innovative opportunity to experience creativity flourishing even in adversity.
